Terms of Service

The terms that apply when you play Drunk Monk games, create rooms, submit questions or feedback, and use our websites and apps.

Effective date: 2026-04-12

Important: This document is a draft for internal and early-adopter use. It is not a substitute for legal advice. Have it reviewed by a qualified attorney before monetization, marketing at scale, or large public distribution.

Agreement

By accessing or using Drunk Monk (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

Drunk Monk is an experimental browser game with real-time multiplayer features. The Service is provided as is and may change, suspend, or end at any time without notice.

Accounts

Where authentication is enabled, you are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for activity under your account. Notify the operator if you suspect unauthorized access.

User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Harass, threaten, or harm others.
  • Upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the Service.
  • Cheat, exploit bugs for unfair advantage where competitive integrity is stated, or deliberately corrupt shared game state.
  • Use the Service in violation of applicable law.

Report administrators may remove content, delete rooms, or suspend access for violations or operational reasons.

User-generated content

You retain ownership of content you submit (names, labels, feedback text). You grant the operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate, improve, and secure the Service.

You represent that you have the rights to what you submit and that it does not infringe third-party rights.

If you believe material in the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to the contact address you publish with:

  • Identification of the work,
  • Identification of the material and its location,
  • Your contact information,
  • A good-faith statement and, where required by law, a statement under penalty of perjury.

Designate a DMCA agent only if you comply with U.S. DMCA procedures; otherwise use a generic copyright contact.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR SHALL HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO PAY YOU ANY MONEY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE, AND THE OPERATOR’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY SUCH CLAIM SHALL BE ZERO.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limitations apply to the fullest extent allowed.

Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify the operator against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

Governing law and disputes

Insert governing law and venue with counsel (for example, the courts of your state or country, or binding arbitration). Until then, this section is intentionally generic.

Privacy

Use of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy (/privacy).

Changes

We may modify these Terms. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.

Contact

Insert operator contact information before broad launch.
